Aquaforest Component 1+2+3+ 3x5l is a three-part reef supplement based on the Balling method. Aquaforest refined it in their lab and added the trace elements reef animals need to stay in good condition. You dose the three solutions in equal amounts on a regular schedule.
As well as calcium, magnesium and alkalinity (KH), it supplies elements that need careful, regular dosing but are hard to measure at home. Component 3+ contains Reef Mineral Salt, a sea salt without sodium chloride. It keeps the ionic balance of your water right, which matters because standard Balling dosing slowly builds up extra sodium chloride. The 5L buckets make this a cost-effective option for larger or heavily stocked tanks.
Available in: 3 x 5L (one 5L bucket each of Component 1+, 2+ and 3+)
Suitable for:
- Reef aquariums with hard corals
- SPS, LPS and mixed reefs
- Reefers using the Balling method
- Large systems and dosing pump setups
COMPOSITION
- Component 1+: calcium, strontium, barium, cobalt, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, nickel, chromium and molybdenum. 25ml per 100L raises calcium by 4.5 ppm
- Component 2+: sodium bicarbonate, fluorine and iodine. 25ml per 100L raises KH by 0.65 dKH (Alk 0.23 meq/l)
- Component 3+: magnesium, Reef Mineral Salt, potassium, boron and lithium. 25ml per 100L raises magnesium by 0.38 ppm
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Formula built on years of experience
- Macro and trace elements in the right ratio
- Three balanced solutions cover all of a reef tank's main needs
- Reef Mineral Salt keeps the ionic balance right
- Includes trace elements that are hard to measure and dose at home
- Equal doses of each part make dosing simple
- 5L buckets give great value
DOSAGE
- For a typical tank with an average number of hard corals, dose about 25ml of each component per 100L of tank water per day
- Split the daily dose into as many small doses as you can, ideally with a dosing pump
- Adjust the dose to your tank's use of calcium, magnesium and KH, and test regularly
- Keep calcium at 380–460 ppm and magnesium at 1180–1460 ppm so trace elements stay at the right levels
- If a parameter is still out of range, keep dosing all three equally and correct it with Aquaforest Calcium, Magnesium or KH Buffer
- Because the product is so concentrated, clean your dosing lines regularly
- For aquarium use only. Not for consumption, and keep out of reach of children

Quarantine
UNPARALLEDED QUARANTINE PROCESS
Our comprehensive quarantine process utilizes a powerful combination of copper, prazi, formalin, and antibiotics to tackle even the most stubborn diseases. This rigorous treatment ensures our fish are free from common ailments like Ich, Velvet, Blackspot, Brooklyenella, Flukes, Tapeworm, Uronema, and Vibrio, which other treatments like TTM and hypo may not cover.
Fish are fed 3x a day and will be transferred to a sterile system with UV for their remaining stay.
Tangs are treated more strictly with quarantine and will hold any fish for longer if symptoms are still displayed.
2 WEEKS
Two weeks is just a minimum, you are welcome to quarantine further if you wish. As most of the work is already done for you, rest assured that the fish received from REEF HAVEN AQUARIUM are very healthy.
PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT guarantee 100% parasite free fish. We still recommend that you quarantine regardless, but the time taken to do so may be a lot less than usual. If you purchase fish that have not been quarantined, they may still be a carrier for parasites. Parasites can lay dormant in your tank until a new stressed fish is introduced. Corals & inverts may also introduce disease if coming from parasite infested waters. Natural sea water WILL introduce parasites.
ERROR-FREE MEDICATION
Our medication process is handled by a single expert, Hazel, guaranteeing zero room for error. This personalized care ensures our fish receive the precise treatment they need, without the risk of human error that can occur with multiple handlers.
HEALTH STANDARD, NOT EXTRA COST
At REEF HAVEN AQUARIUM, we believe healthy fish should be the norm, not an added expense. That's why we incorporate our quarantine service as a standard health practice for all our fish, at no extra cost to you.
